| | Program becomes active after resuming from sleep I have Windows Vista x64 (but experienced the same problem with Vista 32 bit). I installed Windows Live Mail Desktop and have enabled the option 'Hide window when Inbox is minimized'. When resuming from 'Sleep' or 'Hibernation' or even after the screensaver became active, the program window is again visible. I have to restore and minimize the window to have it hidden again. Is this a known issue? Thanks, Edwin |

| | Re: Program becomes active after resuming from sleep I assume you're using Windows Live Mail version 12.0.1606 - no desktop, no beta. This was bugged a few weeks ago in respect of the screensaver situation, and I'm fairly sure someone has pointed out that the same happens when resuming from standby or hibernation. Even though this was on a beta build, the bug (303126) is still "active", as far as I can tell - ie. it hasn't been resolved yet. If you can confirm the version you're using, I'll add your experience to the bug report. If you have an older version, try upgrading to gold at http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview . -- Noel "edwindh" <edwindh@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0FBBD451-CE0F-438C-9C49-3DFC0F445FB2@xxxxxx Quote: > I have Windows Vista x64 (but experienced the same problem with Vista 32 > bit). > > I installed Windows Live Mail Desktop and have enabled the option 'Hide > window when Inbox is minimized'. > > When resuming from 'Sleep' or 'Hibernation' or even after the screensaver > became active, the program window is again visible. > > I have to restore and minimize the window to have it hidden again. > > Is this a known issue? > > Thanks, > > Edwin |

| | Re: Program becomes active after resuming from sleep It is indeed that version. (file version for executable is 12.0.1606.1023). I noticed this on my 32bit Vista installation (with the Beta), where I put my machine in hibernation, and now on my 64bit Vista, I use Sleep and it has the same effect. I also tried Hibernation. Especially coming back from screensaver is annoying, since this happens fairly often. | | Re: Program becomes active after resuming from sleep OK. I've updated the bug report. Now you'll just have to live with it until they fix it, unless someone comes along with a solution or a workaround. -- Noel "edwindh" <edwindh@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:19FD6B4E-A50A-4DBF-A649-7363615AB9DC@xxxxxx Quote: > It is indeed that version.
