Vista - Synchronizing Contacts?

Aren't WL Contacts supposed to synchronize with my online WL hotmail
account?

From WLM (contacts), I first signed into my online hotmail account, at
which point I could see those contacts. Then I imported a .wab from an
OE file on an old PC into WLM. Those two sources seem to have mixed in
WLM contacts, but the imported contacts do not appear online, even
after a send/receive all.

I was hoping this application suite was a seemless way to manage
contacts/mail/calendar/etc. among various PCs, but if contacts don't
synch that would be (another) huge detraction.

I'm not certain, but I think that Contacts synchronization does not
necessarily occur with every Mail sync, and it sometimes takes more than one
session to get everything fully in sync. It should happen, though, each time
you sign in to Windows Live. If you enable logging (Options > Advanced >
Maintenance > Troubleshooting), you can see what is going on between you and
the server. It's not just your contacts that are shared - safe and blocked
senders are synchronized as well.

[OT] Why are you posting from Googlegroups when you are sitting with a
perfectly functional newsreader in front of you?
