Try using netcap (or Ethereal) to capture whatever OE does e.g. when the interval expires. E.g. does it do a LIST command and then update the statistics for all your subscribed newsgroups in one go or does it actually issue separate GROUP commands for each of your subscriptions? I can't think of any other way that those statistics might be updated automatically using that option. BTW do you have the option checked which says that you want to be notified of new newsgroups? If the desired functionality is being provided by the LIST command you would probably have to have that option checked (otherwise there wouldn't be as much reason to use that command, especially after you had entered a newsgroup.) So somewhere I > need to tell the system to synchronize when the mail is downloaded? that I speculated about above (GROUP commands for each subscribed newsgroup). See if you can get your desired result (I.e fresh statistics) simply by switching accounts. That would be exploiting a LIST command implementation instead. Otherwise, I suppose you could schedule an equivalent script which would do a SendKeys of Ctrl-Shift-M appropriately... ; ) This reminds me that I have been meaning to try to find out if PowerShell could support such functionality (more particularly enable simple workarounds in the form of keyboard macros, for other deficiencies that I have found in the WLM UI.)
