| | Comments Windows Live Mail seems like most cumbersome production from Microsoft. Wonder what are the advantages that we didn't have in Outlook Express. Any comments will be highly appreciated. |

| | Re: Comments I've just installed Live Mail, having put up with Windows Mail since January when I installed Vista. I'm inclined to agree. It looks "nicer", I suppose. The only noticeable advantage over OE is the easier visibility of your different email accounts in the left column. Also there's the new "Live" functionality, and feeds, neither of which I use. There are some disadvantages compared with OE. Contacts (the replacement for the old Address Book) is no longer nicely integrated into the product, like it was with OE. Also, you can see your newsgroup account, or your email accounts, but not both together like you can in OE. To switch between them you've got to go to the bottom of the left pane and click the appropriate bar. The header at the top of the preview pane takes up an *enormous* amount of real estate - entirely unnecessary. Finally, it doesn't have the facility to automatically remove all messages from a sender you have blocked in the newsgroups - an incredibly handy feature of OE. (OK, you can work around that by "resetting" the folder and then reloading all the messages, but it's clumsy compared with OE). On the whole I have a slight preference for OE, although it's tough luck for me as it won't work in Vista. SteveT |

| | RE: Comments I digitally sign my letters in Windows Live Mail Desktop. This cannot be done in Windows Mail in Windows Vista. I agree that it is also possible in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, but I don't have it. |

| | Re: Comments Yes, lets make this a request to reduce the header to 3 lines at most and eliminate the useless icon. I'd rather not turn it off.
