Junk folders showing "historical" number of messages...

Yesterday I deleted a number of messages from my 3 (different POP accounts-)
junk folders. The messages themselves disapeared as required but in the
l-hand folder menu the orginal number of junk messages <before deleting> is
still being shown. How can I fix this so that the real <up-to-date-> number
of junk messages is indicated and not this -no longer existant past number of
messages?
(I am running the new full version of w-l-m-d in 64x Vista H-Premium.)

There is no such animal anymore. Not since May, when MS dropped the "d"
from WLMd. That was at beta build 8.0.1226. Since then, the name has been
Windows Live Mail (no "d"), and build numbers have been 12.0.*, with
12.0.1365 the last beta build and 12.0.1606 the final version, now known
officially as "Windows Live Mail 2008".

Which version are you actually running? Check Help | About if you are not
sure.

2 points:-
1. The problem seems to have fixed itself after 2-3 re-boots.
2. For the record, I am running 12.0.1606!!

Re: Junk folders showing "historical" number of messages...

Hi, Ron.

Thanks for the report back - and for the clarification on the WLM version.
We've been trying for the past six months to stomp out the "d" from WLMd and
sometimes I overreact when I see it appear. :>( It's not just that the
name is now wrong - that's no biggie. But it is the valid name of a
previous version, so we're never quite sure if the user is actually using
the 6-months-out-of-date version, especially when he posts using the
web-based interface and we can't determine which app he is using.

I'm glad to hear that your historical messages disappeared.
