| | message stuck in 'all news' Windows Vista home premium, windows live mail 12.0.1606 Since this morning I have (1) message in All news quick view. It doesn't show in any of my news accounts (msnews.microsoft.com, news.verizon.net). Click on it brings up a header but body is 'Message could not be displayed'. Header shows it was from 3 days ago (25th). There doesn't seem to be a clue as to what news group it came in on. Cannot delete, move, or mark as read. Could use some help to clear out the All news entry, thanks Michael |

| | Re: message stuck in 'all news' From a previous post by Hua (hlin [MSFT]): "We believe that most if not all of the problems with quick views are caused by having previous Beta's of WLM on your machine. To rebuild the Quick Views from scratch (and fix any incorrect Quick View data left in the data store from Beta's), you should delete the following registry key at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\SearchFolderVersion. Note that it'll slow down the next start up due to the rebuild of the quick view data store." That should solve your problem. -- Cheers, Peter (Windows Vista Home Premium with Windows Live Mail 12.0.1606) "There are more things in Heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." - Shakespeare --------------- "Michael Walraven" <mexxwalraven@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:9794B991-F39E-49B9-BD41-147D341A8FD2@xxxxxx Quote: > Windows Vista home premium, windows live mail 12.0.1606 > > Since this morning I have (1) message in All news quick view. | | Re: message stuck in 'all news' Peter, Thanks for pointer, I waited till release version came out, the value for that entry was 16(decimal) and I have deleted it. Hopefully that will have some effect.
