WLM not connecting

Send/Recieve yields this message:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (xxxxx) account. Sorry,
we were unable to sign you in to Windows Live ID at this time. Please try
again later.

Server Error: 0x80048820
Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048820

for many hours

Sign in for Windows Live ID gives an apology and a suggestion to sign in
later. Also, contacts are empty in WLM (though still there via web client) No
sign of network problems. Is this a belated result of the pushed update?

Re: WLM not connecting

Some things to try:
1. Check that your clock is adjusted properly.
2. Try deleting the account (restart WLMail) and adding it back.
3. Try changing your password (at account.live.com).
4. Wait a bit longer.

Re: WLM not connecting

Jeff:
If that didn't work for please post back here. The error # you're giving is
a passport auth error (not incorrect password though).

Re: WLM not connecting

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, no luck yet. I'm corresponding
with Jericho so will see what that yields.

Re: WLM not connecting

The combination of new password, re-adding one account and waiting (and
perhaps logging in and out via browser a few times) seems to have done the
job. I'm back in business, thank you very much.

Re: WLM not connecting

Thanks Jeff, I had the same problem and found my clock was a year ahead
(because I was messing with it and forgot about it lol). I can now logon.
