Re: default browser

Start IE...go to tools/options/programs. Where it says default browser
check the box that says "tell me if IE is not the default browser"...Click
apply, ok and then exit IE. restart IE and you will get a message that says
IE is not your default browser, do you want to make it default? Click Yes
and it should work from then on

Re: default browser

It not only did'nt work but I uninstalled Maxthon 2.0 and now when i click on
a link in Windows Live Mail i get the error message that "application not
found" and I can't get to the link. If I have Maxthon 2.0 browser installed
i get the message " Windows cannot find, please retype address and try again"
and then it goes to the link.

Re: default browser

If you have Maxthon 2.0 (I do too) why do you want your WLM Links to open in
IE7? Ok aside from that, to set IE as your default browser, click on
Start/Default Programs then click on "Set your Default Programs" Click on
IE and then OK. That should do it.

Re: default browser

The fact that it doesn't work with Maxthon is not surprising.
I doubt hat Maxthon has been updated to be 100% Vista compatible.

To ensure that IE has all its defaults, go to Default Programs, which you
can access either from the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click
the first item: "Set your default programs."
After a few seconds a list of programs comes up. Click on Internet Explorer.
If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by
clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

Re: default browser

WLM Works just fine with Maxthon 2.0 Gary. I've been using them together
since the betas of WLM without problems.

Re: default browser

Good to hear, but the OP ("mtnmama") seemed to be having an issue with it.
