No system tray icon

Hi Guys

I am running the latest release of Windows Live Mail (12.0.1606) on my
destop and for some reason I have no system tray icon at all and so I cannot
get it to minimize to the tray which I really prefer. Does anybody have any
ideas? The same version on my laptop has the tray icon and so it minimises
to there?

Thanks
Rafi

Re: No system tray icon

Right click on the taskbar and select Properties. Do you have Hide inactive
icons checked? If so try unchecking this and see if it shows.
Failing that, take a look in your registry under :-

HKey_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/Windows Live Mail

And take a look at the HideWhenMinimize entry. Try setting this to "1"
(hex).

Re: No system tray icon

Thanks for the reply Colin. I shutdown the computer last night and when I
started it up this morning WLM had a tray icon and now it works fine. Should
have tried this yesterday but I just tried exiting the application and
starting it again
