| | Live Mail POP3 reset How can INBOX be reset, to allow messages on the server to be downloaded once again - after they have been read? I note that under TOOLS|OPTIONS|ADVANCED|MAINT|CLEAN UP there is an option to reset, but this does not appear to affect POP3 mail accounts. Likely a file must be deleted, but it is not apparent what file that may be. In Mozilla products it's the POPSTATE.DAT file. |

| | Re: Live Mail POP3 reset Hi, dev. That Clean Up option is only for NEWS messages, not emails. Once we download an email message from the server, the mail server deletes it - immediately or almost. UNLESS we go to Tools | ACCOUNTS | <choose the mail account> | Properties | Advanced, and choose to Leave a copy of message on server. Note my ALL CAPS emphasis: This is in Tools | ACCOUNTS, not Tools | OPTIONS. I don't use Hotmail or Gmail or IMAP, so I don't know if this applies to those. I know about only POP3. RC -- R. C.
