| Guest | Re: Retrieving Recently Deleted Email? Hi, PJ. See if it is still in the Deleted Items folder. If so, drag it back to the Inbox or to a Storage Folder of your choice. Be sure you do this before exiting WLM if you have set Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance to Empty messages from the "Deleted Items" folder on exit. RC -- R. C. | Guest | Re: Retrieving Recently Deleted Email? Hi, PJ. You haven't said if you are running WLM in WinXP or in Vista. It runs in both and it might make a difference, so always specify. Since you posted using the web-based interface, the headers of your message give me no clue as to what application you posted with. How many Deleted Items folders do you have? Have you checked them all? There should be such a folder for each of your email Accounts. Plus, depending on how you have WLM organized, you may also have a Deleted Items folder under Storage Folders. Since I don't use Hotmail or Gmail, I'm not sure how they handle these things, but they should be the same as for any other mail server, I think. If you have 2 email Accounts set up in WLM, named First.com and Second.net, then you should have at least the default folders (Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, Junk e-mail and Deleted items) in EACH of them - in other words, you'd have at least two Deleted items folders. These should be created automatically, with no action required on your part, other than creating the email account. If you deleted an email that you received @First.com, you would not find it in Second.net's Deleted items folder. As I said, if you opted to have WLM empty the Deleted items folder on each exit, then you will always start each session with that folder empty. Have you looked in the Recycle Bin for your deleted messages? RC -- R. C.
