Import contacts into Groups

I am a small business owner. Occasionally I will receive opted-in
email lists from a trade-show. I would like to import these contacts
into my Windows Live Mail and attach them to a group as I am importing
them. I have no problem importing the contact information. However,
I do not see an easy way of assigning 150 new contacts out of my 990
contacts in total to a specific contact group without laboriously
clicking my mouse 150 as I search through my 990 contact entries.

Does anyone know of a way to assign a contact group to a contact based
on say a common trait in one of the contact fields like department or
office location or something. Can I filter the contact list and then
drag the results to a contact group?

Help!

Re: Import contacts into Groups

If the contacts have one of the many data fields in common, you should be
able to sort on that field, and select & add to a group.

Re: Import contacts into Groups

Use 'list view' to do that Francesco.
