Inserted text alwasy times roman?

Okay this is just plain weird. My default font is set to Arial in options,
however whenever I copy/paste text into a message, it posts in Times New
Roman? Any idea how to keep pasted text formatted correctly too?

Lori

Into email and yes, both are html. The read\fonts thing is set to

western european
proportional font: arial
fixed-width font: courier new
font size: medium
encoding, western european

so that doesn't seem to control it either.

Re: Inserted text alwasy times roman?

My settings are the same. This was posted in html to show the impact if plain text is not the default for reading.

'Reply to group' in news using html, copy and paste at this end defaults to the font from the source
(the below was cut and pasted from a Monotype Corsiva html post in this forum ref. Sharyn's post - Multiple copies of emails)
Just the one

Reply to Sender(send email to poster) using a newsgroup post(I can't test in WLM since it opens up Outlook07 my default email client for me) does the same if the OL07 is set to html.

If I copy the same from that news group message, click on Mail shortcut in WLM(lower right), create a new message using WLM with it set as html for default creation, and Arial as the default font, the same occurs. The Corsiva font is pasted, the other part of the message(e.g. Signature pre-applied) is Arial.

Other fonts though don't appear to be the same....if pasted into an email
e..g
Copy and paste to an email or news message?
- The above appears in Arial in a news or email even though the post that originated was read in Sego Script (similar occurs with other 'read' font settings'.

The same occurs if I open a new message, reply to the message, cut(instead of copy), then open another new message and paste.

Unfortunately I've yet to see Times New Roman

Re: Inserted text alwasy times roman?

actually, it's working now for me and pasting things in arial. No idea what changed - maybe it was an update or something that fixed it.

Thanks for trying to help.
