Hotmail contacts export missing data

I'm using Windows Live Mail configured with a single hotmail account --
(username@xxxxxx). I create a contact and fill in the "Spouse/Partner"
field with a value and then synchronize.

1) The local copy of the contact information properly stores the data.
2) If I go to another computer, install Windows Live Mail and configure the
same email account, the Spouse/Partner information DOES show up indicating
that Windows Live Mail is properly synchronizing the information to the
server.
3) However, if I logon to hotmail.com and export my contact information to a
CSV file, the Spouse field is empty.

The same problem occurs with fields like "Middle Name" and "Anniversary".
This is obviously a bug with the hotmail contacts export feature. Note that
the hotmail web UI does not display these fields but the CSV file generate
does include the headers for them -- just not the data!

Re: Hotmail contacts export missing data

I think you'll find that these 'special' fields don't get included in a CSV export from WLMail either. They do if you export as
Vcard.
Not necessarily a bug, probably just a limitation imposed on free applications so that those who pay for, say, Outlook don't feel
cheated.

Re: Hotmail contacts export missing data

Following are the fields for Contacts in Hotmail (Contacts->New->Show all fields). Since they do not include Middle Name, Anniversary, or Spouse/partner, Hotmail cannot export them. Send feedback to Hotmail if you want them included.
