Delete from Original e-mail?

I have deleted messages, or created new folders in Windows live...but when I
go to that e-mail via the normal website to sign in on...those messages are
still there, and no new folders are there.
Is there a way to manage my inbox from windows live, that will result in
changes to the original location.

I'm new at this windows live thing...taking some getting used too.

Thanks so much
