Can't edit contacts

I'm unable to edit my contact names...it will highlight but won't let me
edit. What's wrong? Can anyone help?

Where are you trying to do this? Open Contacts (the next icon after Mail at
the bottom left-hand corner), find the contact you want to edit and
double-click on it to edit. The top page is a summary; the ones lower down
(Contact, Personal etc) show boxes for data entry. Click OK when you're
finished.

To ensure one is editing the correct contacts in a multiple email account
WLM configuration with both Live and non-Live ID's
1. Ensure the Live ID for the contacts being edited is the current signed-on
ID
2. If editing contacts for a non Live ID account(pop3) ensure that
Tools\Options\Connections\Stop Sign-in In is selected.
