With a large volume of mail, it's not much help to sort by person unless
one can also sort by date.

Can anyone get the Sent Items folder to sort by To and then Date?

On my system, I can get the Inbox to sort by From and then Date by
positioning the Date column immediately right of the From column
and then sorting the From column, but that doesn't work in the
Sent Items folder for To and Date. Weird, eh?

Here are the steps to test it:

Display the Sent Items folder. Make sure To and Date (or Sent) columns are
showing. Arrange the Date (or Sent) column immediately after the To column.
Click on the header of the To column (this should cause the column to be
sorted by 'To'). Find someone to whom you've sent many emails and examine
whether the Date (or Sent) fields for that person are in date sequence. For
me, the dates aren't in sequence.



However, as mentioned, if I display the Inbox and do the above with the
From and Date columns, it works.

I'm running WLM 12.0.1606 on Vista Home Premium

Yes that does seem to be a bug. With view by conversation checked it makes
no sense and with view by conversation unchecked it seems worse. BTW, it
also looks like view by conversation doesn't always work right.
