Spam Filter causing mail highlight to move

Has anyone heard of this?

When a spam comes in, it causes them email in my Inbox that is highlighted
to jump done the smae number of emails as spam messages that came in.

Not only is this annoying, it changes the email I am reading if I am using
the preview pane

I have recently switched to a new PC and it is stil happening, which means
it's either a Windows Live Mail problem or something in my email databases is
messed up

Any one had this problem too?
