Hide CC and BCC address lines

I clicked on "Show CC and BCC" while creating a new email and the CC and BCC
address lines appeared on the email as I expected. However, I only wanted to
use them as a one off and now they appear on every new email. I cannot find
how to make them go away so that only the main address line is visible. Any
    suggestions appreciated.
