grouping older messages together

Is there any reason why there is no longer an option to group older messages
together? In the beta versions, (and outlook) you could group messages older
than a week, or a month in a sort of threaded view that saved space in your
inbox. I can't seem to find that option anymore.

Best

Re: grouping older messages together

I don't recall ever seeing that option in any WLM beta.
I have seen it in Outlook.

Re: grouping older messages together

I'm sure I remember using it. It was in the view - current view menu, and
you could click on group by at the bottome of the menu. It's in thunderbird
as well, but I'm pretty sure I used it in outlook.

You can group messages by sorting by Flag or Watched Conversation.
So just mark your "older messages" with either of those features and
sort your message list accordingly.

Note: the Watched Conversation option propagates as messages are added
to a thread. The only time a Flag option propagates is when it is applied to
the first message in a collapsed thread or subthread. Also note that when
you are using a threaded view (e.g. via Group messages by conversation)
the sort applies only the marking of the first message in the thread.
So if you are only marking messages and not threads you probably should
toggle off the threaded view to see *all* marked messages in one group.
Etc.
