Ctrl-C does not copy

I am a very proficient PC user and prefer keyboarding over mousing. It is
driving me crazy that ctrl-c does not work in an open email. To me, a
well-designed app should allow someone to completely operate with a keyboard
without touching a mouse.

Ctrl-C works just fine for me in an open email whether a new one or a reply.

I have Vista Ultimate 64 and an MS Digital Media Pro keyboard.

What do you have highlighted to make Ctrl-C work?

I select text the usual way (shift and cursor arrows), do a Ctrl-C
then Ctrl-V at the location I wish to copy it. If I wish to move text,
I use Ctrl-X rather than Ctrl-C.

Re: Ctrl-C does not copy

double-click on a word to highlight it. Ctrl-C does not copy for me. XP Pro
SP2.

Re: Ctrl-C does not copy

I thought you didn't want to use the mouse...
I tried selecting some text without the mouse, and Ctrl-C worked..

Re: Ctrl-C does not copy

highlight copy
I doubled clicked on a word in the preview pane, Ctrl-C, then Ctrl-V in this
reply.
It worked both times that I tried.

You could give some specific examples rather than make blanket statements
which can be easily refuted. ; }

FWIW this is a problem in OE in some areas so I wouldn't be surprised if there
would be a similar issue in WLMail. The workaround is to use the Menu key
plus C instead. In fact, I got burnt often enough with OE that I think I probably
use Menu,C more often than Ctrl-c even in situations where it may not be required.

Agreed. WLMail still has a way to go in this area even to catch up with OE
which itself is deficient in a number of specific cases but is in general more
keyboard friendly than WLMail.

IMO
