Colour Scheme and Icons

How do I make change the colour scheme and and make the icons bigger in this
application. For example, there is no clear division between email content
and the surrounding window & to/from fields, both are white. It is not very
user friendly for my elderly Grandfather who found Outlook to be a lot easier
on the eye and hence easier to use.

Unfortunately, I think, the only part you can change is [on Tools menu] View - Text size of the reading pane, only for news, unless you choose - Option - Read all messages in plain text and/or set Fonts for reading all messages at the bottom of that page, it might not change it in the Compose windows. It won't change the Contacts window at all. However, on the Tools - Options - Compose tab you can Create New Stationery to look most any way you want and on the Send tab select HTML mail, and then Format - Apply stationery in the Compose window if you want to change it.
For reading messages, you can double click on the message header to open a full screen for each message, then you have to close it or minimize it to see the main mail page.
The headings, folder pane and icons are not changeable, but there has been feedback about most, you should feel free to join in.
Oh, and under Options - Signature, you can design a signature[s] and with the advanced button you can choose which accounts to get each signature.

@Mike - that was really awful: I could hardly read a word of your pink text
on a light green background!

@Jeff - you don't mention your (or Grandfather's) OS, so I can only make
suggestions for XP. Have a look at the Display page of Accessibility options
in Control panel. Settings applied here will affect the display of both the
Message list and the Reading pane when you toggle them using Alt-Left
Shift-PrtSc. There seems to be no way to alter the display of the Folder
pane, but the development team are aware of the concerns of those with tired
eyes about this.

With a bit of fiddling about, I reckon you could find some settings that
will enable Grandfather to enjoy using this program just as much as Outlook.
And I can't imagine Vista's accessibility options being any less useful.

Sorry Noel and everyone, you're right, I have to resist being such a smart a.leck. It was ugly and hard to read, but it looked better with text size [largest] even though it wasn't that helpful.
BTW, when I read your post the first time, the text size was forced back to normal, but only for your post [others were largest] then later it stayed largest, weird?
