| Guest | Re: not getting all posts Yess! Good going Ron! I'm using that suggestion also. The p.s. reminds me that I seem to have lost the rating box that used to show up in the lower right of the compose window? Also, I just noticed that under Actions, categorize is only available on the new message window, not on reply group. Not that it matters, I keep forgetting to use it anyhow. I just found a workaround for your rule bug. If you make a separate rule to color maroon after the other rule, and then stop processing rules it might work. In Outlook Express, I had a rule, 'If the post was from me, color maroon, mark as read, mark as watched.' The rule does not work in WLM. -- Ronald Sommer "guitardude" <guitardude@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:efauKW$WIHA.4448@xxxxxx Great Idea! I hadn't thought of setting up a rule. People kept saying to turn off the 300 headers setting and whenever I did that it would just overwhelm me with posts that I am never going to read because they are so old (so most likely answered). This worked perfectly. Is there a way to set up a rule that automatically watches threads that I have responded in? I had all of my threads (the ones that I actually did have) watched and when I reset the group they all got "un-watched". I went ahead and did a search on the website version of the newsgroup for my name and went through my subject newsgroup and I found every one that I was missing. I don't know how to thank you enough. This makes windows live mail perfect for me. I have 4 email boxes and I have recently gotten into these newsgroups so Live mail brings it all to one spot. Thanks again Ron! guitardude p.s. how do you specify the post that is the answer to a question 'cause you definitely get the kudos on this one! I give you permission to tell me how to pat you on the back ![]() "Ron Sommer" <rsommer@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:edh3MI#WIHA.1132@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: not getting all posts I'm getting a little confused, I have set up a rule that says: Apply this rule after the message arrives Where the message was sent more than 30 days ago Delete it Will this delete a message after it is 30 days old (I don't want it to do this), or just not automatically download a message that is 30 days old ( I want it to do this)? I need two rules: One that just doesn't automatically download posts that are older than 30 days, and another that automatically watches posts with my name on them. Thanks for everyone's help! guitardude "_mikebs" <someone@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ejM83ODXIHA.484@xxxxxx Yess! Good going Ron! I'm using that suggestion also. | Guest | Re: not getting all posts If the rule is checked, it will only apply to incoming messages unless you manually apply the rule. Actually, messages that are dated more than 30 days into the future will also be deleted. -- Ronald Sommer "guitardude" <guitardude@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:uSrQSlFXIHA.4448@xxxxxx
