| Guest | Can't receive mail with WLM I transferred outlook express settings from my XP desktop to my Vista laptop. No messages are coming to my laptop. I have no problem sending messages. There are no error messages present. I have occasionally noticed that "receiving ..." flashes before "no new messages" when I click send/receive. The settings for my account are the same on both the XP and Vista machines. I have also switched to AVAST in lieu of McAfee without any change. I would appreciate any troubleshooting suggestions. |

| Guest | Re: Can't receive mail with WLM Just to be sure ---the mail client is Windows Live Mail and not Vista's included Windows Mail, correct ? Does transfer mean export and OE account as an iaf file in XP, then import the iaf file into Windows Live Mail on Vista ? Lacking any other information. Disable Email scanning in Avast Remove the account in WLM and set it up manually using your isp's settings. Is the XP machine running at the same time? It's probably receiving all the messages first.

| Guest | Re: Can't receive mail with WLM I am having a similar issue with Windows Mail. WM will not download messages from the server. There are no error messages. It claims there are no new messages. The account is setup properly, I can send messages. I have removed Norton and disabled Windows Firewall. Still no luck. Any suggestions? "...winston" wrote:
