cannot do anything (delete, mark unread, mark read)

I recently installed Windows Live Mail on mylaptop - had been used to
using Outlook Express for quite a while.

Now, I can read messages, but if I want to delete something or mark an
e-mail as read/unread - I get "An unknown error has occurred."

Nothing else is displayed.
I am here at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: cannot do anything (delete, mark unread, mark read)

Sounds like you had a bad install.
Have you tried un-installing and re-installing the application?
