New http email account

Hi,
I want to add an email account that uses microsoft web access and/or
microsoft outlook. I have tried to configure manually but when that option is
ticked no http options are given. Is this possible to setup using WLM? Cheers

Re: New http email account

WLM can only access POP, IMAP & Hotmail accounts.

Re: New http email account

Thanks for the quick response.

However are you sure, as when adding an account it gives the option for
incoming mail server as POP, IMAP & HTTP?

If I can set hotmail to send from another email, already done this. However
is there a way in WML to diplay this email to send from?

Cheers again,

Re: New http email account

Who is the provider for the account you are trying to add?
With respect to HTTP mail, only Hotmail, MSN or Live.com accounts
are supported in Windows Live Mail.

Re: New http email account

Hi Gary,

Ok, so it won't work as it's a work email. I want to find an alternative to
using microsoft outlook.

I have setup my hotmail account with the work email address so I can send
emails using this from my hotmail. Is there a way to display the work email
in WLM, so I dont need to login via a browser to send?

Cheers

Woody

Re: New http email account

I'm having trouble grasping just what it is that you are trying to do.
Perhaps some other responder here has a better handle on it.

I was hoping someone else would understand it too <g> especially the part
about setup of the hotmail address with the work email address.

Re: New http email account

Is this what you want?
If you have already set up an account to use your ISP-provided e-mail
address, use the same settings to set up a new POP account. Otherwise, check
your ISPs support page for details of how to set up an OE account (SMTP
server name and port, authentication etc) and set up a new POP account with
those settings. Enter the display name and e-mail address you want to use
and anything you like as incoming server. Put in the user name and password
allocated to you by your ISP. For the outgoing server, put in your ISPs SMTP
server and ensure that the other settings are correct. When you're finished,
open the properties page and deselect "Include this account when receiving
mail..."

Very rarely, a mail server may bounce mail where the From: domain does not
match the SMTP server's domain (it's happened to me twice in three years),
but otherwise you should be good to go.

Re: New http email account

We don't know what you mean by http work email?
What type of email account is it? Is it a Hotmail, Yahoo, or other account?
Or are you trying to access something like Lotus Notes via iNotes?
