Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop

Maybe I'm wrong but i think that Yahoo has stopped offering free e-mail pop
access. Now it's only available for premium users so... Yo have 3 options:

-Stop using Yahoo Mail and look for another one like Hotmail or Gmail.
-Chek your Mail via Web Mail
-Become a premium using by paying some euros/dollars.

See you!

Here are the instructions for connecting using Windows Mail. You can
check if they also work under Windows Live Mail.

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-35.html

You can also connect using YPOPs:

http://ypopsemail.com/

They don't seem to have written instructions for using it with Windows
Live Mail, though.

It sometimes makes a difference whether you enter a username with no
CAPITAL LETTERS, and whether or not you add the part of your
email address starting with @. Also, when entering your password,
make sure you use CAPITAL and lowercase letters in the correct
places.

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop

The DeltaSync server is only applicable to msn.com, live.com, and
hotmail.com accounts in Windows Live Mail(WLM)
Reconfigure the account with the correct Yahoo servers per the instructions
on the Yahoo site(look under Help/Email)

Retrieval of Yahoo pop3 email in WLM normally requires a premium Yahoo
plan(Yahoo Plus @ $20/yr)
Other countries may offer without the plan(e.g. Canada)

Desktop was the beta version, it is now called Windows Live Mail.

Edad,

I also use Yahoo Mail. You must properly configure the outgoing and
incoming servers correctly. You now must use ATT instead of Yahoo for the
servers. The username and password will be the same username and password
you use to sign into your Yahoo account.

The instructions for exporting your email and contacts into Windows
Live Mail are the same instructions listed for Outlook Express. I have no
problems whatsoever using Windows Live Mail for my Yahoo account and my two
Hotmail accounts.

Have a nice day.

C.B.

Only for 'at&t Yahoo! HSI' accounts. AT&T has nothing to do with plain
Yahoo! Mail accounts.

I.e.:

For Yahoo! Mail Plus (in the 'yahoo.com' domain; free accounts won't work):

Incoming server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com:465 (w/ SSL)
Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com:465 (w/ SSL)

For at&t Yahoo! HSI *only* (in any of the AT&T domains, such as
'sbcglobal.net'):

Incoming server (POP3): pop.att.yahoo.com:465 (w/SSL)
Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.att.yahoo.com:465 (w/SSL)

For Yahoo! Mail Plus, just your 'yahoo.com' user name is good enough.
For 'at&t Yahoo! HSI, use the full email address (i.e.,
%User_ID%@sbcglbal.net).
