Outlook2007

I want to use Outlook2007 to access my Live account. Web pages says its
@live.com. Outlook cant connect. It Finds my address under @hotmail.com but
will not accept my password. What am I missing here?

Free hotmail accounts are no longer accessible via Outlook.
If you have a premium account(Windows Live Hotmail Plus @$20/yr) you can
follow these instructions
to retrieve your mail using the pop3/smtp settings. (see the December entry
on MSN)

Couldn't the free Outlook connector be used to access http Hotmail
accounts?

Yes. I use the Outlook Connector for some old free hotmail accounts, as
well as a (new) live.com.au account.

Outlook 2007 alone does not provide hotmail http access(my response)

Yes, the Outlook Connector does provide that privilege.

Care to elaborate on what is old news?
- Outlook not capable for free hotmail accounts, pop3 instructions, or
other..
