Problem Forwarding Newsgroup Posts

When I hit the 'Forward' button, an e-mail dialogue box opens up, but there
is no 'Send' button. How can I send the Post I would like to forward?

Regards,
John E. Golden

Re: Problem Forwarding Newsgroup Posts

(1) Alt + S
(2) File > Send message
(3) View > Customize toolbar and add the Send button to Current buttons.

Re: Problem Forwarding Newsgroup Posts

(1) 'Alt + S' does not seem to do anything.
(2) The 'File' menu does not have any send message button.
(3) The 'View' menu and then customize toolbar does not reveal any 'Send'
button I can add.

Re: Problem Forwarding Newsgroup Posts

John, my default email client is Outlook.
Typically the 'Send' option places the mail in the email clients Outbox.
It is then sent either via automatic polling(email client configured to
periodically send/receive) or if not configured by manual send.

Since you are using WLM, is the file placed in the WLM Outbox ?

Re: Problem Forwarding Newsgroup Posts

I had been using 'Windows Live Mail' to send e-mails for a few days even
though it was not my default e-mail program or my default 'newsreader.'
Since I had no problems sending normal e-mails, I never imagined I should
have any problem forwarding newsgroup postings.

Anyway, after reading your post, I made it my default program and I was able
to successfully forward newsgroup posts.

Winston, thanks for your help!

John E. Golden

Re: Problem Forwarding Newsgroup Posts

Well, I can only seek to advise about WLMail. Since it appears that you were
using some other program to send mail, it's not surprising that my
suggestions didn't work. It's a good job we've got winston and his crystal
ball to divine what posters don't reveal
