No Name on Printed Emails

In Outlook Express, when I would print an email, my name would appear in the
top left corner. Well, with Windows Live Mail, when I print an email, my
name is nowhere to be found. How do I fix this? Thanks.

RE: No Name on Printed Emails

I figured it out. I discovered that in emails you bring in from Outlook
Express, they won't have your name on them when printed in Windows Live Mail.
But, any email that arrives to Windows Live Mail WILL have your name on it.
Here's what's really pathetic. Microsoft claims that the name thing isn't
available in Windows Live Mail.

"Peter, Windows Live Mail currently does not have a feature that you have
described."

What a joke.

Re: No Name on Printed Emails

I see. What you are referring to is the User Information Name as entered at Tools->Accounts...->Properties [button]->User Information [section]->Name:

I actually have part of my e-mail address in that field.

Since this field is associated with an *account*, it can only be printed from a message that is actually within an account when printed.

Thus, this field cannot be displayed when a message is printed from *any* storage folder. However, if you moved or copied a message from a storage folder into an account folder, it will print the User Information Name of that account when that message is printed from within that account.

Re: No Name on Printed Emails

It does for me every time.

Have you filled in the name field for that account? (Tools->Accounts...->Properties [button]->User Information [section]->Name

See screenshot of this message printed when copied to an e-mail account (name field edited for effect).

But since you are not posting through a news client, here's a link to the screenshot:

Re: No Name on Printed Emails

I have indeed filled in the name field for the account. I can copy an email
to an account folder from a storage folder, but the name still does not
appear. As I mentioned earlier, the only time my name appears is when I
print an email that has arrived since I installed Windows Live Mail.

Re: No Name on Printed Emails

I've gotten it to work finally. I had to create new folders off my main
account and move my messages into those folders. The emails then print with
my name.
