Bug report: Screen capture of WLM also gets background

    If you do this:

    1) Display an email using WLM
    2) Press alt-PrintScreen (to capture active window only)
    3) Paste into an image viewer (or, easiest, into a new email message)
(thanks for that ability in WLM -- if only it pasted with PNG compression
    instead of BMP!)

Expected is an image of just the active window, but I get the active window
PLUS a strip of background from around the active window, especially at the
    top.

This could be a Vista bug. If so, Microsoft, please pass this on to Vista
    people.

This happens with up to date WLM and Vista Home Premium. It's a
long-standing bug. Not a big deal, but it makes Microsoft look sloppy.

If you're from MS and see this, please post a reply with advice on how to
best report bugs. (If you're not from MS, please don't speculate on what MS
would reply -- I'd like to hear from them.)

I'm not from Microsoft, but one way to request improvements is here:

I wouldn't regard this as a bug; if you maximize the window (in XP), the
extra bits get filled. I understand that the title bar and so on are
rendered transparent in an unmaximized window in an effort to replicate a
Vista-type appearance in XP to save having to code different UIs for the two
OSs. Your screenshot captures the whole window, including the transparent
    bits.

I've also seen the prefix as news:// so you might try that instead.

I too get this behavior. It doesn't include the entire screen, but it grabs
a small area around the active window.
