| Guest | Opening a .pdf attachment within an email? Seems like many people are having a simialr issue with file attachments. When I try to open a .pdf file within an email I get the "no file association exists", however I do have Adobe Acrobat on my laptop. If I save the file on my dektop - a double click will open it. For some reason Windows mail can't find the link??? |

| Guest | Re: Opening a .pdf attachment within an email? I'm not sure the removal of the pdf association is necessary. It would seem the same can be accomplished by either of the above, since it is not a WLM issue a. Repair Adobe Reader b. Reassociate the pdf file to - Notepad, then back again to AcroRd32.exe - use the browse button to browse to AcroRd32.exe To access the Association setting in Vista(Control Panel/Default Programs/Associate a file type, then use the Other or Browse option. -- ...winston ms-mvp windows live mail <robertmiles@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:eW$$$IRbIHA.4712@xxxxxx "B.Patzer" <B.Patzer@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:A41C6838-4831-4D28-A517-0A4D034C1F26@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Opening a .pdf attachment within an email? I've never had this problem with pdf files, but always have had it with word or excel documents sent via email even with XP. I always have had to save it to disk first and then open, otherwise I would get "file cannot be found" errors. Lori -- Shop for clothes, boots, gothic, jewelry, collectible, Egyptian and more!
