Cannot install WML on laptop running Vista

I download wlinstaller.exe OK on laptop running Vista. When I go to run it I get this message:

"\...\wlinstaller.exe is not a valid win32 application."

Any suggestions? Many thanks -- Sam

Re: Cannot install WML on laptop running Vista

Is there a particular application that you wish to install or do you wish to install of them?

You can download the wlinstaller from either http://get.live.com
or directly from the microsoft website :- http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

If there's individual application you wish to install then you'll notice at the bottom there's links to individual programs (WLM, Messenger etc).

Hope this helps

Re: Cannot install WML on laptop running Vista

The source of the download was?
http://get.live.com/wl/all
or
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Using an administrator account ?
Rt.Click exe file, run as administrator ?

Re: Cannot install WML on laptop running Vista

To answer 1st question:
The source of the download was:
http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview
I have successfully installed from that source fine on a couple of other PC,
but they were running under XP.

To answer 2nd question:
I am actually helping a friend and cannot answer the adminstrator question
at this time and the friend is leaving for vacation until next week, so I
will have to reopen the thread then. Sorry...
Thanks -- Sam
