Internet Explorer Script Errors

I use Windows Live Mail Desktop and have issues when I receive some email. I
keep getting an error message saying "An error has occurred iun the script on
this page.... Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Yes/No"
It only happens when receiving some HTML emails. Is there a way to disable
this? Is this a known bug which is easily fixable? It is very annoying as
it stops everything till I click yes or no

Re: Internet Explorer Script Errors

Hi, Fujo.

C'mon now! Surely you are not really using Windows Live Mail Desktop! The
last version of that beta disappeared last May when it was renamed Windows
Live Mail - without "desktop" in the name - although that word is still in
the name of this newsgroup. :>(

What are you really using: Windows Live Mail? Or Windows Live Hotmail? Or
some other application that Microsoft has give a confusingly-similar name?
Your Subject line says "Internet Explorer". Since you posted using the
web-based interface and your browser, we can't tell what email/newsreader
program you might have installed. Please click Help | About Windows Live
Mail and tell us if it says: "Version 2008 (Build 12.0.1606)".

For the newest version of that program, the name has changed to Windows
Live Mail. See here:

Re: Internet Explorer Script Errors

Hehe

It appears I am still using the beta, I guess I just expected Windows Update
to update it if it was obsolete. It is Microsoft, not sure why I expected
that. I have Microsoft Windows Live Mail Desktop Version 8.0.1226

I am downloading and installing Live Mail now. If I have problems importing
mail/contacts, I'll let ya know. Thanks

Re: Internet Explorer Script Errors

Hi, Fujo.

I think you'll like WLM 2008 (12.0.1606). It's not perfect, of course, but
it's the best yet. ;<)

There'll be a learning curve, naturally, but you'll be enjoying WLM within a
day or two.
