Does WLM move my Email thru MS Servers?

I've used OE for years with XP and having converted to Vista Ultimate on my
notebook and disatisfied with Windows Mail. On that forum it was suggested
that I might like WLM. What is the "Live" part of this program? How is it
different than WM? Does it have to store and run my e-mails thru Microsoft
servers? Does it act like a regular client when not online? I don't want to
run any e-mails thru Microsoft's servers.

One of my main problems with Windows Mail is it's lack of automatic filling
in of e-mail addresses when I start composing an e-mail. It has much worse
functionality than OE which concerns me overall in making a complete switch
to Vista. Any help with the above answers is greatly appreciated!

WLM does not use Microsoft servers unless you have a Hotmail address.

WLM will not fill in an address. It will bring up a list and the longer
that you type, the shorter the list gets.
You can select an address or name from the list.
