    Just so you know, in case you didn't figure this out you have to hit the
    minimize button (not close) in order for the 'hide on minimize' to work.

    To see "hide when minimized" on context menu of WLM you need (under W7) to
    start WLM in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. Then it is there. Very bad
    Microsoft . Thx to mynextblog

    Actually, it also works when choosing Vista SP2 as the compatibility mode,
    probably a better choice than XP SP3.
    This bug is likely to be fixed in the next release of Windows Live Mail.
