Cannot Sync Mail, Server Error: 0x8000FFFF

Have not been able to sync mail for a few days now. The error code is as
follows. Has anyone been having the same problem, or know a solution?

Windows Live Mail could not download the requested message. To send and
receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on
the Web, or try again later. To get help from Windows Live Customer Support,
go to http://support.live.com and click Windows Live Mail in the list of
services.

Re: Cannot Sync Mail, Server Error: 0x8000FFFF

If waiting for Hotmail server to resolve its issue is not tolerable, instead
of using the web site(mail.live.com), you can also try 'temporarily'
changing the server to:
http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaS....0.0/sync.aspx
- tools/accounts/<email account>/properties/server

Re: Cannot Sync Mail, Server Error: 0x8000FFFF

Hello Pa Bear:

Today is June 16, 2008. I have been having this same problem now since June
2nd, 2008. Is there a fix for this? How long will it take to get the
Windows Live Mail so that it works correctly again? I can see only the
header of my emails in Windows Live.

Thanks,
Karen

Re: Cannot Sync Mail, Server Error: 0x8000FFFF

Hello Winston:

I am having the same problem as listed above. Today is 6/16/08. It has
been going on since June 2nd, 2008. What do you mean about changing the
server? Can you be more specific for me and really walk me through the
process. I see your formula, but don't quite understand how to do it.

Many thanks,
Karen

RE: Cannot Sync Mail, Server Error: 0x8000FFFF

I took care of this annoyance by switching to another proxy server.

Re: Cannot Sync Mail, Server Error: 0x8000FFFF

could I get you to temporarily switch back to the other proxy server and
turn on logging and then reproduce the failure? I'd like to see what's
causing that to happen.

you can turn on logging by:
You can do that by going to tools->options->advanced->maintenance… then
checking on general and Http.

the logs will be at your store root:
i.e. c:\users\<name>\appdata\local\microsoft\windows live
mail\windowslivemail.log

Then send them to: juddp@xxxxxx

thanks!

Re: Cannot Sync Mail, Server Error: 0x8000FFFF

the solution is to unckeck de "remember password", and to write it manually.
do log in, sincronyze one time and you can check the remember password box
again if you wish.
