Vista Tutorial - Gmail IMAP: Few messages appear in Inbox or Sent Mail

Unlike Thunderbird, with WLMD, I can't get all my Gmail imap messages from
the Inbox or Sent Mail folders to appear--only a few of the most recent
messages appear. The correct number of messages will appear in WLMD beside
the folder name for a minute or two (over a thousand) but then disappear, and
only the most recent few will actually be downloaded. The All Mail folder
seems to work correctly however.

Any thoughts?

(p.s. I have Imap set up by changing the root folder in settings to
[Gmail] and setting special folders to "Sent Mail," "Drafts,"
"Trash," and "Spam.")

By following a slight variation on these gmail IMAP windows mail directions
(adjusted slightly for WLM), I can get all the Sent Mail to appear properly,
but I still can't get all my mail in the gmail Inbox folder to appear in WLM
Inbox for imap gmail.

Thanks. The directions turn out the same--at any rate, the same behavior
results: the inbox does not show all mail, only a few recent emails, and
there are the other issues noted.
