Windows Live Mail Desktop... problems with encoding/header info imbedded into emails sent between hotmail accounts

I have a problem when using the Windows Live Mail Desktop client...
it appears that when I send a new, or reply to an email, to a Hotmail.com
account,
it imbeds encoding/header info in the email. Recipients have complained
what is this junk I am sending in the email.. I have no idea as to how to
remove it. If I send a new email/reply to a non-hotmail.com account, it is
processed normally! Is there an issue with Windows Live Mail Desktop
client when interfacing with hotmail.com service?

The hotmail Server URL is
http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaS....0.0/sync.aspx
I am running on Vista Ultimate x64.

Here is problem information, originally reported in
MSFT.public.windows.vista.mail

Any ideas? ...Grant

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Confirmed... problem occurs when sending NEW or REPLY emails to HOTMAIL
recipients... other ISP email addresses work fine... I will follow-up with
Hotmail support... thanks for your help... Grant

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop... problems with encoding/header info imbedded into emails sent between hotmail accounts

Have you tried this server:

http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaS....0.0/sync.aspx
http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaS....0.0/sync.aspx

Both of them seem to work.

Interestingly, it does not seem to matter what DeltaSync version number I use, it still works. Even DeltaSync_v999999999999999.99999999999999999999999999.999999999999999999999

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop... problems with encoding/header info imbedded into emails sent between hotmail accounts

Well... it appears as if there is a problem with the Hotmail server located
at...
http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaS....0.0/sync.aspx

By changing my hotmail server account information (eg
http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaS....0.0/sync.aspx )
I no longer have the problem.

I wonder if there is some debug setting that the Hotmail tech team left ON
on the original server...
Should you run into this problem... simply change DeltaSync to later
level...
Should fix your problems (as it did mine)...

Thanks for your suggestions!
(strange problem!)

Grant,
If I may ask, have you switched the server back[to 1.0] to attempt to turn the problem back on ?

Re: Windows Live Mail Desktop... problems with encoding/header info imbedded into ema

I've had the exact same trouble here only it effects all sorts of emails, but is not always consistent. I've had people on Gmail and company-hosted domains tell me (and forward me) emails that are all messed up with the encoding. One forum said to switch the Server URL to: http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp

That seemed to solve the Gmail problem, but I still have trouble with other ISPs. I tried switching back to http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaS....0.0/sync.aspx and we'll see how it goes.

I do not have this problem with Sign In on other computers.

I am running Vista Ultimate x32 with NOD32 Antivirus.

Any advice?
