| | Message rules (matching on domain) Hello, I've moved from using Outlook to WLM and am trying to find a way to create a rule where I can say anything from a given domain do something with it (delete it, move it, etc.). In Outlook I could match on something like: @microsoft.com and that would work fine, but don't seem to be able to get it to work in WLM. Should it or it's not designed to? thanks, Chris |

| | Re: Message rules (matching on domain) Chris, When you open the Windows Live Mail under Tools you will notice that there is a Message Rule button and there are 2 choices one for Mail and another for News Click the Mail , I assume that you are trying to create a rule for and it explains how to create rules for your E-mail or News accounts. Click the Checkmark that you want to create the rule for Header or Body and other Choices and then enter the word you need and click apply button. Good Luck! | | Re: Message rules (matching on domain) I assume you are talking about the "contains people" criterion. AFAIK, it requires a complete email address, which is true for all three related email clients (OE/WM/WLM). -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "CB" <CB@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:14B2F5D9-536E-4F81-8FE4-3633C8792EBE@xxxxxx Quote: > Hello, > > I've moved from using Outlook to WLM and am trying to find a way to create a > rule where I can say anything from a given domain do something with it > (delete it, move it, etc.). | Vista 64 | Re: Message rules (matching on domain) My wife and I , of course, use the same mail server on a LAN. We have three E-mail addresses between us, but one is common to our joint profession. In order not to duplicate our resonses, We decided that only one would receive the business mail. I created a message rule like this, on my wifes computer: Where the To or CC line contains "businessname@plonk.uk Do not download from the server. |

| | Re: Message rules (matching on domain) You can add @microsoft.com using the add button and has been that way for all three related email clients (OE/WM/WLM). This describes filtering on just the @. http://www.mindspring.com/~oe_oh/message_rules.htm -- Ronald Sommer "Gary VanderMolen" <gary@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ubvAxmQeIHA.1168@xxxxxx Quote: > I assume you are talking about the "contains people" criterion. > AFAIK, it requires a complete email address, which is true for all > three related email clients (OE/WM/WLM). > -- > Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) > > > "CB" <CB@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:14B2F5D9-536E-4F81-8FE4-3633C8792EBE@xxxxxx Quote: >> Hello, >> >> I've moved from using Outlook to WLM and am trying to find a way to >> create a >> rule where I can say anything from a given domain do something with it >> (delete it, move it, etc.).
