Can't send message

Hi there, I'm getting the following error message when I try to send an
email. Can you help?

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's
e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'alanna_legg@xxxxxx'.

Subject 'Re: '
Server Error: 530
Server Response: 530 authentication required - for help go to
http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-11.html
Server: 'smtp.broadband.rogers.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): No

You might try your Rogers WebMail access first to make sure your e-mail name
and password are set up properly:

This could mean you've been accused of sending spam, or other
undesirable messages, and therefore had your email account
disabled.

Also, go where the error message told you to go and see if
you have all the settings for your email account under WLM
correct.

What does your web mail access tell you? It might be time to call your
provider to check the status of your account.

A Legg,

Are you trying to send email from a Yahoo POP3 account? If so, right
click on the account, select Properties and click on the Server tab. Is "My
server requires authentication" checked?

Re: Can't send message

I went on to my web based mail and was able to send something. Should I still
check the status of my account?

I am and it's not checked. This is the second email account I have on live

Yes, they may have turned off your POP access is they suspected some SPAM
traffic being generated from your end (not necessarily by you)

Do you mean second at the same time or second in succession? Did the first
one work?
