Hi

Ive just switched from being a long term Thunderbird user to Windows Live
Mail user. I would like to import all Thunderbirds email and contacts. Can
this be done?

Re: Importing Thunderbird emails

Get the ImportExport message extension for Thunderbird
http://nic-nac-project.de/~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html

Tbird:
highlight a folder
Tools - Import/Export in mbox/eml format - Export all messages in the
folder - EML format
pick a location to save the files
OK
the files will be saved in a subfolder
(do this for all the folders)

WM/WLM:
File - Import - Messages - Windows Live Mail
select the folder location you saved the files to
next
All folders
next
Finish

The messages are located in Imported Folder

Re: Importing Thunderbird emails

Thank you, that worked. Although because I had two accounts in Thunderbird I
had to set the other one as default in order for the exporter to export its
files and not the original default account.
