when I delete hotmail and again add it, will previous mails remain

I'm getting 5102 error and when I check solution for it, many suggested to
delete the account and add it gain. If I do that, do I lose all my previous
mails? will the download all messages start all over again?

thanks
pradeep

Re: when I delete hotmail and again add it, will previous mails remain

No. Your messages should remain and it shouldn't re-sync your entire mail
account again.
WLM stores your messages on your hard drive under your mail account. If you
remove your account from WLM, the message store is still on your computer.
When you re-add your account, WLM will automatically see that it has a
message store for that account and use it again.

Re: when I delete hotmail and again add it, will previous mails remain

I just tested the scenario of deleting a Hotmail account, and the messages are indeed deleted from WLMail's Message Store (an empty folder remains).

The messages do however, remain on the Hotmail server, and will be synchronised and re-downloaded (according to your synchronization settings) when the account is recreated.

Re: when I delete hotmail and again add it, will previous mails remain

Ditto, same occurrence(empty folder) after dumping a few http hotmail/live.com test accounts.
Might Colin be referring to the actual file Mail.MSMessageStore

Re: when I delete hotmail and again add it, will previous mails re

I'd try again later...... the Hotmail servers have problems occasionally.
