need to enter usernam/pw for MSN email twice in order to be accept

Using FireFox or IE, I enter my msn username/pw and I receive an error
stating that I have entered an incorrect username or pw, ( I know I am
entering them correctly). the 2nd time I enter my MSN username/PW I am
logged in as normal. Any ideas what is happening?
