Vista - Windows live Mail doesn't open

I have installed Live Mail but each time i try to open it nothing happen at all and it doesn't run. I tried several times but also the same problem happen. I have HP dv9000 with Vista home premium. So is there any way to solve this problem?

First question: How did you install Windows Live Mail? And is it the
current version (12.0.1606) or some beta build?

Second question: HOW are you trying to open WLM? From the Start Menu, or
Start | All Programs, or a Desktop icon or ?? Please tell us, step by step,
exactly what you do and what results you see.

Well exactly what i did is:

1. I downloaded the latest Live Mail from Windows Live Mail and the version is 12.0.1471.1025 with the size of 2.28 mb
2. I started the setup and chose to install Live mail
3. It started to download live mail and installed it
4. After it finished I started it from everywhere "From the Start Menu and the quick launch"
5. What happens is it starts saying "Please wait while windows configers Live mail" and then the message disappers and nothing happens afterwards....

How long ago did you download "the latest Live Mail"? That version is at
least one beta build too old. WLM went "gold" in November and the only
version available since then is the final build: 12.0.1606

Go back to that web page and download the current version. After
installation, Help | About should say:
Windows Live Mail
Version 2008 (Build 12.0.1606)

So, Scorpion55 has the right installer. Now all he has to do is run it and
make sure that when it finishes, his WLM is build 12.0.1606. Then we can
try to help him solve his real problem.

I have the latest version of live mail and i downloaded it from the web. I have installed it successfully on my PC " it has XP SP2 " and it worked fine but on my laptop it doesn't work.

I see you have "have *HP dv9000* with Vista home premium". WLM works fine
on my Dell Inspiron with Vista Home Premium , 2 Gb memory. Do you have
anti-virus software blocking it? Is there an error message? Is your
network connection working? Do you have all software updates installed? If
you do Ctrl-Alt-Delete, Start Task Manager, do you find "wlmail.exe" listed
as a process?
