Newsgroups 'filtered'

I have WLM on two computers: both are set to receive messages from the same
newsgroups. However, on one computer, messages from a couple of individuals
appear regularly which are never downloaded on the other machine. No message
filters are set on either machine. The individuals affected are always the
same.

I thought it could be a problem with old news message rules not being
properly deleted, so I manually deleted the folder:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Rules\News

but the problem persists. It doesn't matter whether the conversation is
watched or not, messages for these individuals never appear.

Can anyone suggest something else to check?

Thanks Ildhund, but I'm afraid not. I have cleared the entire blocked
senders list (and turned off automatic junk filtering) and the newsgroup
message 'filtering' persists.

Re: Newsgroups 'filtered'

I'm quite certain it would be a filtering issue in the absence of filters.
Have you considered a full removal and subsequent folder deletion and registry cleaning on the problem machine..

Re: Newsgroups 'filtered'

Is it possible that you are accessing the newsgroups via different
newsgroup servers?

Thanks to all who replied. Yes Joseph, I was accessing the newsgroup using a
different server. I'd forgotten all about the settings on my laptop being
different. All messages are present and correct on the aioe news-server.
Guess my ISP's newsfeed is missing a few.
