| | Limiting the number of messages in a newsgroup Can I limit the messages downloaded and retained based on a total number by newsgroup or by age (like delete all messages over 4 weeks old)? Can I block or delete messages by rule using the sender's domain like "anyname.gmail.com"? ( like *gemail.com) without listing each individual name? -- Joseph Meehan Dia 's Muire duit |

In other words, even if you set that to 10 days, you might download 6-month-old posts today from a newsgroup that is not very active or that is on a server that retains old messages. Those already-old messages won't be deleted from your message store until 10 days from now. Of course, after that 10 days, you will be retaining only the latest 10 day's downloads. RC -- R. C. | | Re: Limiting the number of messages in a newsgroup Thanks. I found what I was after right after posting my original message. It is now working as I had wanted, for the most part. -- Joseph Meehan Dia 's Muire duit |
