| | Reporting Junk Mail? How can I tell or that my junk mail is actually being reported to Microsoft? When I delete them I see no action that would suggest it is being reported. |

| | Re: Reporting Junk Mail? If you just delete your mail then nothing will get reported. If you hit the Junk button then it will. It basically uses the same mechanism as the "report Junk mail" found on the hotmail website. How can you tell that it's happening? Basically you can't unless you want to get down to the packet sniffing level. The next time you connect or your system connects using the timer to download/upload your emails the report will get sent. | | Re: Reporting Junk Mail? You mean it's not being reported to Microsoft? Then what is the purpose of the setting: Tools, Safety Options, last item ("Report junk e-mail...")? -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "Bob" <bob@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:Q96dnWMDD_lbk3DanZ2dnUVZ_gCdnZ2d@xxxxxx Quote: > It's not. > ------- > [When responding to posts, please include the post(s) you are replying to so that others may learn and benefit from the issue] > > [How to ask a question] > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 > > "Schmitty" <Schmitty@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:B185C014-B3E8-40F0-89B0-7C0113B571DA@xxxxxx Quote: >> How can I tell or that my junk mail is actually being reported to Microsoft? >> When I delete them I see no action that would suggest it is being reported. |
