Tools>accounts>select your account>properties> Change your server settings to : pop.freeserve.com smtp.freeserve.com On the advanced tab the Outgoing port should be 25. However, like Dave, I was unable to make a telnet connection to that server/port, even though my ISP does not block port 25. So, there is something fishy going on. Perhaps the published directions are obsolete. If you are sure you went through all the steps then we need to take a look at other things. Try shutting down your AV software. If that doesn't help, remove it. If that doesn't help, go to the AV software site, get the removal tool and remove all vestiges of it. -- Regards, BobF.
