Re: "Reclaim space on closing" Error

No sunshine in Happy Town with that as that is how it has been set.
However Robert's keyboard trick seems to work.

Re: "Reclaim space on closing" Error

Regardless of how I do it, it will not close. Not using the mouse, not
using the keyboard. I sent a message to support and they asked me twice
"What exactly do you mean by compacting the database?" I went through a
step-by-step in my original message to them explaining exactly how it
happens and they still have to ask me what I mean. LOL I have the strange
feeling this is not going to turn out well. LOL But thanks for trying to
help and I'll let you know what happens.

Re: "Reclaim space on closing" Error

Well, I guess I should have expected this answer, to uninstall, delete a
couple of registry keys and reinstall. So I did and tested it and it worked
one time, so set it back to compact after 50 runs and will see. Will keep
you all posted.

Re: "Reclaim space on closing" Error

If it works I will be interested in some more details. I got mine to go
once and it has failed every time since.

Re: "Reclaim space on closing" Error

Yes, it does work. After you uninstall via the Control Panel, you will have
to delete some entries in the registry. Here are the instructions I got
from Microsoft:

WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious
problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft
cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry
Editor incorrectly. Please use Registry Editor at your own risk.

a. Click "Start," click "Run," type "regedit," and then press ENTER to open
a Registry Editor window.
b. Click "HKEY_CURRENT_USER," click "SOFTWARE," and then click "MICROSOFT."
Click "Windows Live Mail" and then press DELETE to delete the registry key.
c. Click "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE," click "SOFTWARE," and click "MICROSOFT."
Click "Windows Live Mail" and then press DELETE to delete the registry key.
d. Exit Regedit, and then restart the computer.

Then download the latest version of WLMail.

Good luck.
